"Robert Downey Jr. returns as Tony Stark, the wealthy playboy whose exploits as Iron Man are now public knowledge after his admission at the close of the first film. In the follow-up, Stark is pitted against his Russian arch nemesis, Whiplash (Mickey Rourke), and corporate rival Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell). Also making their Marvel debuts are Scarlett Johansson as the sexy Russian spy Black Widow, and Don Cheadle, who takes over the role of Colonel James Rhodes from Terrence Howard."

As much as I hate to admit it, I've become a huge fan of Iron Man. Why is this so hard for me to accept? At the time the first movie came out, I was having a dispute with my friend over who was the better superhero: Batman or Superman. Of course, I was in favor of Batman, the caped crusader with a tragic past and a good moral principal; never use guns, or kill. My friend sided with the latter, Superman, who was thought to be all around glorious. Then Iron Man came out, and my third friend just jumped into the fray saying Iron Man bested both Superman and Batman. I decided to give the movie a go; I've been (secretly) hooked on Iron Man ever since (as you'll learn later on, I hate admitting that I'm wrong).

So when I heard that a predecessor to the box office hit Iron Man (which grossed nearly 600 million worldwide when it debuted in the spring of 2008) was coming out, I was on the edge of seat, hunting the web for more information as to when the movie would come out, what it would be about, and who would be in it. Personally, I have a feeling this will be a huge success in movie theaters, especially with truly devout Iron Man fans. Based on what I've heard, it follows the Iron Man comic book storyline very closely, even more than in the first movie. You've got The War Machine, Don Cheadle (who replaced Terrence Howard in the role of James "Rhodey" Rhodes, because Terrence Howards' acting costs were way to high for the Iron Man producers' liking), and new villains and enemies with equally new and spiffy costumes.

The teaser poster below depicts Iron Man, playboy billionaire Tony Stark, and The War Machine, James Rhodes (Stark's close friend/rival), standing back to back, weapons at the ready. Across the movie blogosphere, one large question arises: will the two main characters be fighting as one against a common enemy, or will they fight against each other? I can't help but think about the relationship between Naruto and Sasuke from the overrated anime series Naruto when I look at this poster. All that's certain for now, however is that the poster itself looks very epic. It just screams that you must watch the movie which it proudly boasts.

Iron Man 2 is set to hit theaters May 7th, 2010.
